Five years ago, Blackfort Equestrian was nothing more than a big dream in a tiny room, just Molly our director, working all hours of the day surrounded by ideas, samples and a lot of ambition. Fast-forward to today, and weโre celebrating five incredible years with a stunning HQ, an amazing team of women, and an ever-growing community of loyal, supportive customers and followers.
We couldnโt be more grateful to celebrate this milestone with you โ because without you, Blackfort wouldnโt be what it is today.
From One Room to a Thriving Brand
The journey began in June 2019, when the first plans were scribbled out. Blackfort officially launched its first collection online in May 2020 right in the middle of the Covid-19 lockdown. Scary? Absolutely. But taking that leap during such an uncertain time proved just how determined Molly was to build something meaningful.
Blackfort launched with just 9 products, and now we proudly offer over 110 products online, from riding wear to everyday lifestyle. Every item has been created with purpose, tested in house by us, real everyday equestrians!
The Highs & the Lows
Like any small business, it hasnโt all been smooth riding. Blackfort had its share of challenges, including one unforgettable moment when our entire building was two feet underwater during a flash flood. We were incredibly lucky to only lose a few thousand pounds in stock, and even luckier to come out of it stronger, with our team and customers rallying behind us.
But for every challenge, thereโs been a high. One of the most exciting moments? Our first ever show at HOYS (Horse of the Year Show). We figured, if weโre going to do it, we may as well go big and weโve never looked back! We now attend 6/7 regular shows across the UK and we absolute love meeting up with you in person!
Stepping into our next challenge, weโve just become the title sponsors for this years Blackfort Equestrian All Star Academy on Horse & Country TV! We canโt wait to see your entries!
Looking Ahead
Weโve grown in ways we never couldโve imagined, and weโre not slowing down. From exploring new product ranges to continuing to connect with our amazing community through social media, shows, and online, our passion for this industry only grows stronger.
More than anything, this birthday is a chance to say thank you. To every rider who believed in us, every order that supported a dream, every message that lifted us on tough days, we appreciate you more than words can say.
